Happy New Year!! As many of you can probably relate, I have set a few goals for myself for the new year. I am keeping them simple and attainable, while still being realistic, challenging, and forward thinking.
One of my goals relates to reading. I often find myself not taking the time to read for pleasure. A goal for me this year, is to find time to read more, specifically to read about high-interest and motivating topics that I should find more time for. I am hoping this will translate to delving into some new leisure activities that I will acquire.
Now that I have shared one of my goals, it’s your turn! Think of things that matter to you that you could best incorporate into your life, if you find the time to nurture them. Some ideas might be reading, painting, or even a new sport or group activity! An important step in creating goals and keeping them is to share, as I did above. This encourages accountability and motivation to help you stick with it. Create and share a goal! Some of the best motivators are our friends and family, so share accordingly and anticipate the positive rewards of their support!!
Above all else, I hope that your new year is off to a great start, filled with goals and excitement for a renewal and opportunities to make great memories!!

Happy February everyone. As all of you know, February is the month we celebrate Valentine’s Day with hearts and candy for our loved ones. What some of you may not know, is that February is the month we promote the AT Children’s Project with activities and projects to help raise money to help find a cure for AT.

We know how generous you are and we are asking you to help out once more. Below you will find a list of activities that the student council will be hosting during the month. We are asking you to be as generous as possible and participate in as much as you can. We have set a fundraising goal of $500 but we would love to raise more. Please support the activities that you can and once again, thank you for your help.

January 20-January 29 : Student Council will be selling Jeans for Genes Pins.
(Purchase your pin for $5 (or any amount you want to donate) and wear it during the month of February. On February 23 and 26, 2021 everyone will wear their pins and jeans to celebrate people with rare diseases.
February 1-February 12: Valentines Hershey Kiss Jar- Try to guess the amount of kisses in the jar during lunch periods and win the jar for a loved one (or yourself!) Chances are 3 for $1 and the drawing is on February 12.
February 1- February 26: Fun Baskets to Win- Take a chance on the baskets that are being raffled off. 3 different winners for 3 baskets. Raffles are $1 and will be sold during lunch periods. All items in the baskets were donated by very generous staff members.
February 9 and February 12- After school pizza sale. Pre-order your pizza for $3 on the google form and have it ready for pick up to go home.
Wednesday, February 24- Disney Pixar Virtual Trivia Game at 12PM Pay $2 and receive a gift bag to use during the game. All contestants will sign up and will be given their materials ahead of time. A prize will be awarded for our first place winner.

Tuesday, February 23rd and Friday, February 26- Wear your jeans and your pin for Rare Disease Awareness.
